Well it is now time to post: I have decided to move over to Blogger. Tblog is too slow on everything for me along with it's other problems and it just ate my last post! Blogger seems a lot easier to handle too and way less spyware. Since I have working on my blogger for awhile now, I am in the last stages of moving my friends blog links over.
I went out shopping and lunch with Mum and Dad on Saturday. We arrived at the shopping area and decided to have a coffee and something to eat as I hadn't had breakfast. I had a Moccia and shared a toastie with Mum. Mum needed a new cell phone and Vodafhone had a Trade in where you get $100 off the new phone. I helped Mum decide and in the end she picked the Nokia 6020 and it is a pretty good phone for the deal she got. I bought a watch as my other watch had died on me. I was told that the new battrey didn't work and there was a lot of soapy stuff in the watch which had damaged it. I will not spend a lot of money on a watch anymore!! It''s not worth it if I'm buying a new watch every 3-4 years.
We had a late lunch and it was nice. I had two entres, chicken satay and 4 spring rolls and a nice cold beer:) Mum and Dad both had Fish n Chips, both were slightly different. Did some more shopping then I did a food shop, then we came home.
Also that morning we heard the Final Result of the Election Results from the Special Vote's and LABOUR won by 2 Seats!! Dam that was close, but a good result. It's also Daylight Saving so we had to put our clocks forward an hour before bed.
Today I did nothing at all, and it was a very wet crappy day.
Hey to those visiting my blog *waves to you all*. I had a good week, meet up with some friends at the mall for lunch, got my hair coloured again and went to the movies with a friend who had two free movie vouchers which he had to use by the end of September. We went and saw 'Into the Blue' and it was really neat, a well worth movie to see, infact I wouldn't mind seeing it again *Paul Walker is HOT!!* calm down Jenn LOL
"Into the Blue" is a high-stakes thriller set in the deep, shark-infested waters of the Bahamas. When young divers discover the wreckage of a cargo plane at the bottom of the sea, they believe their dream of buried treasure has come true. What they don't realise is that millions of dollars of illegal goods are in that sunken plane and a group of dangerous criminals are already desperately searching for it. As tensions mount and the friends begin to fight about what to do with their find, others get closer to discovering their secret - and the treasure hunters quickly become the hunted.
I now remember he was in 'The Fast and the Furious' looking hot too
Cute as can be, kittens are playful, mischevious, and ever-curious. Like you, kittens hate getting wet. Kittens are often loving, but are known to scratch or bite when annoyed. These adorable animals are the most popular pets in the United States--37% of American households have at least one cat. Whether it is your gentle purr or your disarming appearance, you make a wonderful kitten.
wow talk about tblog being down a lot, gosh everytime I tried to add a blog, tblog would be down or was too slow and playing up. About time it is up again.
I completed my Frames course and did my exam. The Exam has 10 questions, 9 of them for me to write my answers and the 10th question was to create my own frame page!! So I emailed my 9 answers in with a note saying working on question 10 lol. To me I thought it was silly having them ask me to do a frame page on the last question as it would take a bit of time and more browser pages to open. (the exam was open in a browser page which I copied to word too) It took me 2 days to do my frame page, it was hard for me but I completed it. From my Tutor: The Frames Exam was perfect - A job well done and a definite 100% on the Exam. I am so proud of myself!!
Today I have created my index page (welcome) for my Forum so I am almost set to open it up and invite all those people that will benefit from the forum.
I also created this graphic today :)
My powerchair is still at Invacare, the tech could not pin point the problem so he was unable to fix anything. Invacare have contacted Invacare US and asked if they know what the problem could be and if they don't, should they replace the wheelbase frame or the seatframe or replace the whole chair! The creaking noise is in a moving part and to me that could be in both the frame and seatframe so I reakon replace the whole chair. So we are waiting to hear back from Invacare US.
I am watching the General Election here in New Zealand and it's very tight between National and Labour. National was in the lead but now Labour has taken the lead by 1%. There have been less votes this year so the election tally will arrive quicker tonight. The Special votes will be the important count as thay could change the winner tonight or maybe give the winner a few more votes in total, but won't know the special votes for a week or two I think.
I meet Helen Clark from Labour yesterday and shook her hand. Helen asked me, are you able to go and vote tomorow and I said, yep I'm voting for you. I meet Judith Tizard too.
NEWS FLASH - Just heard a News Flash on TV, of a light plane - pilot was threatening to crash the plane into the Auckland SkyTower tonight, in the end he crashed into the sea. The pilot is now in Auckland hospital. SkyTower was quickly evacuated and everyone is safe.
I am so tired, but have enough energy to do a quick update since last time I blogged. Yesterday I was out all day, first Dad took me to Invacare so the tech could look at my wheelchair to see where this creaking noise is coming from, that I am hearing everytime I move and it's very irrating and annoying. We ended up leaving my new wheelchair there as it will take longer than I thought to fix, but lucky I had my old chair with me and got in that. Dad and I then went and had an early lunch and I had Subway. Dad went back to work and I shopped around the mall, then later went to see a movie called Red Eye which was totally awesome!!
at the moment with my Forum. I've set up a different one now hehe with the help of a friend who talked me through the setup step by step. I've learned so much about the different forums out there and how to set them up and using an ftp program which I've used before. I now have to design my index page, that's a welcome page which will have a link to the forum and other pages soon one day lol.
I have also recieved my Frames lesson 1, so I got to start working on that, but not today. Don't feel up to it.
I have been quite involved in the Lost Plot and the Tomb in my neopets game online. I have a Tablet which is like a puzzle and I have to play games to get my map, then go to the Tomb and find my door to go through to collect my tablet peice and so on till my tablet is full.
Haven't done much over the last few days. One thng I did do, was treated myself to getting my nails shaped and painted and they look good. Yesterday I was sorting out all my psp tubes and orgainsing my Graphic's folders as they were a mess! Looks better and more tidy now and easy for me to find graphic's. I am also going to upload everything to photobucket then backup tubes and graphic's onto cds. This may take me awhile but is the best thing to do.
Here is a graphic I just made, I really like the tube too
I have also been playing neopets on and off and checking up on my Aquapet Zizzy bought me. Well I am off now to eat some pizza, chicken wings, chip and have a pepsi too. Movie should be starting soon too.
Been busy with life in general and online stuff. I went home for Father's Day and we had a BBQ dinner for Dad and gave him some goodies which he liked.
I've been doing a HTML Forms course which WebTech provides. It was tricky at times but overall good, so far the shortest course out of these HTML Courses. I passed my exam and here is my Certificate.
Went out to my old work place and had lunch with my friend's, we had SubWay and it was yummy. I helped one of my old workmates choose a Laptop the other day, which she had bought. I setup Nortons and installed some other software for her and showed her how to use them. The touchpad on the laptop was very sensitive, I was trying to scroll up the My Programs Menu and it clicked on the wrong things, basically the touchpad was too easy to click. I wanted the mouse lol, this was driving me nuts.
Now that I have a break from my course I can do some more graphic's and more work on my Forum.
Ello, thought I'd better do a quick blog. It's the first of September today, Spring is here. The years are just going to fast now! I thought this year would be really slow due to not working and sitting here everyday. I have decided to change my avvie that represents me for this month, I love TWEETY!
I am finally getting things sorted with a few things that have been dragging on for awhile, I will feel better when it's all done!!
I also want to say that my heart goes out to all those people, pets and animals that are struggling to survive in the katrina storm. I've seen it on the News and it's terriable.
For those bloggers that visit my blog, please take some time to sign my Guest Book which is sitting on the right side, it's there for vistors:)...Thank You
Over the last few day's I've been working on a new Forum to replace one I am currently using now. A friend of mine in the States has his own Web Server and hosting company and has offered to host my site FREE!! with access to everything, which is really neat and I took the offer up. That's what I've been working on and it's alot of fun.
Weather has been nice too so I wheeled down to the mall to get some odds and ends I needed.
I'm fairly tired tonight as I was awake thinking about my new forum lol, so I need a good sleep tonight.
Update on my Custom Made Cushion: I have given my feedback to the guy that made it and said I have been on it for almost 2 weeks now and it's great, nice and comfy. There is one adjustment he is going to make and if I don't like it, I can actually take it off the cushion. My therapist needs to pick it up so the guy can make the covers and send it back and that be the cushion all done:) YAY!!! I have asked my therapist to order me the back cushion I want too so just waiting for that to arrive, then they can close my case.
I am also helping out another friend who is struggling to get a chair to trial that they want. I spent some time today getting the correct information and emailing it to my friend's Mum. She rang me and was surprised to hear that her son's therapist is the same one that is working with me. So I feel really good I was able to help them. She isn't impressed with the therapist, as her son has hurt himself in the other trial chair:(
Yesterday I went out with family for a drive to Matakana. It was a really nice day too so we were lucky with the weather. We stopped at Morris and James Pottery and Cafe, and had lunch there which was really nice. I had rare beef (which I asked for it to be cooked longer) and salad and a nice cold beer. We ordered at the right time too, as after we got our meals, there were lots of people waiting to order.
After lunch we had a look at the nice Pottery. While some were still looking I went outside and wheeled around. My brother and Dad took some photo's of me and I said I would take one of my brother, and he said nah and walked right up behind me while I was wheeling around to try and take a photo. heheh it was a funny site. Here are some photo's below..
Me outside at Morris and James Pottery and Cafe at Matakana
and the beach was Omaha.
The beach was nice, I wish I could wheel on the sand and feel the water on my feet. I miss being able to swim in the salty sandy water with the waves crashing onto me and diving in and out of the waves.
I am on a PSP creative roll today and have created my first Slat which was easier to make than I thought. I have also created myself a Tranquility Reflection tag which looks awesome and a siggi girl tag.
Here is a Swimming Dolphin Globe I did yesterday, it took me all afternoon as it was difficult a nd I had 22 images to work on in Paint Shop Pro. Once I had created the globe, I had to add sparkes to all 22 images, then same them. I then had to add single bubbles to all 22 images and save them again. The animate it:) I'm very proud of it.
I've been learning how to make Animated Globes today and they are fairly easy, I just have to remember my layers. Here are three globes I made. Not sure how to make them transparent, without the white background.
Yellows are the most fun-loving, free-spirited, energetic, and childlike personalities in the aura spectrum. Yellows are wonderful, sensitive, optimistic beings, whose life purpose is to bring joy to people, to have fun, and to help heal the planet.
Yellows can either be very shy and sensitive, or they can be the life of the party. These playful characters have a great sense of humor. They love to laugh and to make others laugh. Yellows believe life is to be enjoyed. They like to live life freely and spontaneously. With a perpetual smile on their face, they remind people to not take themselves or their problems too seriously.
Yellows would prefer not to work at all, unless their work was fun, playful, or creative. They love nature, and often have concerns for the survival of wildlife and the environment. Dogs are very drawn to Yellows and often become their best friends.

Part Three - Had my meeting yesterday at the cushion place. G was there, and the two custom tech people and my Mum. I asked G, if the other person was coming, G said she is sick and she didn't want to cancel the appt.
One of the custom tech person's kneeled down to my height, looked at me and said " I would like to hear from you, what you find not right with this cushion and what you want, and we want to make it right for you" no matter how long it takes.
WOW I was shocked, this was great, I then took out my list and said everything. I even said this is the STF height on my Arrow, the J2 deep contour cushion is perfect, can you give me the angle I have on my Arrow and give me the contour my J2 cushion has. That is what I wanted and told him the reason's why it had to have the angle including the contour of cushion etc. I also said the cushion doesn't fit the width of the seat, can it be made the right width too.
He totally understood what I needed!! I then showed him how easy it was for me to get onto the J2 cushion and compared that to the foam cushion. height was wrong too.
He took both cushions and chair into the back room and modfiyed the foam cushion.
Basically he did what I suggested to G at the beginning, was he added a wedge of firm foam to make the STF height at the front 19" and then had the cushion on top of this. He had cut out the hard foam of the cushion and added softer foam and made the cushion fit the base too. He also added more contour etc. He added a try slippery cushion cover as well, similar to my J2 cover. Basically I was getting sore as I sat on the egde of the cushion and it was too flat.
Well I was quite impressed when I saw it. Now to sit in it hehe. It felt nice and soft, I had the contour I needed and the height was good.
I got into my chair today, and have sat on the cushion for 5hrs so far with basically no pain!!! I do have a dull pain on the right side still but bearable. I need to try the cushion for a week, have the guys number in case I need something done.
Overall I felt the custom tech guy that modfyed the cushion, listened to me, heard me, understood me and could see the problem's I was having with G. It was the best seating meeting ever!!
Now if G had arranged this appt when I asked awhile back, then we proably have got somewhere. I think she didn't pass my messages onto the custom tech people in the correct way. I think she also stuffed up the first measurements and not accepting the wedge idea.
